Details that only reveal themselves up close. That's the Zander.
A wide, commanding rectangular silhouette the kind of frame that reads as serious from across the room. But what sets the Zander apart is what happens at the edges: architectural bevels carved into the acetate with a precision that only Japanese handcraft can produce, meeting a flat-top bridge that anchors the whole composition. Nothing decorative. Nothing superfluous. Just structure doing exactly what structure should do.
Matte Dusk is the Zander at its most refined a grey-taupe matte finish that sits between colour and neutral, adapting to whatever it's worn with without disappearing into it.
The architecture is the design.
Barton Perreira describes the Zander as a frame defined by "architectural bevels juxtaposed against a flat-top bridge." Both of those words architectural, juxtaposed are doing real work. The beveled edges catch light differently at every angle.
The flat bridge creates a horizontal tension that makes the frame read wider and more deliberate. Together, they turn a rectangular optical frame into something that holds its own as a designed object.
