Barton Perreira

Two industry insiders walked away from the corporate luxury machine and built exactly what they believed fine eyewear should be.

Bill Barton trained as an optician before becoming CEO of Oliver Peoples. Patty Perreira spent over 18 years designing frames for Vera Wang, Prada, and Miu Miu. Between them, they had seen every corner of the eyewear industry and decided to start
over, on their own terms.

Barton Perreira was founded as an independent brand with one fixed standard: nothing less than the finest eyewear in the world. Not a corporate mandate. A personal one.

Every frame is handcrafted in Japan by the country's leading artisans a manufacturing tradition defined by patience,
precision, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. A single pair of Barton Perreira frames takes weeks to refine. The engineering is treated as seriously as the design. As Bill puts it: "The engineering has to be flawless. Our frames have to be built entirely by hand."

The design sensibility comes from Patty, who works entirely from instinct. "I never say, I think. I always say, I feel. From my core. From my soul." The result is a frame language that is bold without being decorative, precise without being cold always unmistakably Barton Perreira.

The brand has collaborated with James Bond / 007, Bellini Yacht, and 000 Magazine partnerships chosen with the same selectivity applied to every design decision.
