The aviator is one of the oldest shapes in eyewear. This one carries fifty years of London rock and roll jewellery on its temples.
The Triumph is the second collaboration between Cutler and Gross and The Great Frog — and where the Capri was rectangular and precise, the Triumph is expansive. An oversized aviator in pure Japanese titanium, finished with sterling silver hand-cast Baroque patterning along the full length of the temples, set with cabochon onyx stones that draw directly from The Great Frog's heritage jewellery archive. The kind of detail that has no shortcut.
Gold and Black titanium hardware in warm gold against black lenses. The colorway that makes the Baroque silverwork read sharpest.
Limited edition. Two London institutions. No compromises.
The Great Frog opened on Carnaby Street in 1972, three years after Cutler and Gross opened in Knightsbridge. Both stayed independent. Both stayed in London. Both refused to simplify what they make. The Triumph is the result of those fifty-year parallel tracks finally meeting Japanese titanium precision carrying British jewellery craft, built in the quantity that limited editions should be built in: not many.
The cabochon onyx is hand-set. The Baroque patterning is hand-cast. The titanium is made in Japan.
