THE GREAT FROG CAPRI | Cutler and Gross x The Great Fro
Color

Two London institutions. One frame.

Cutler and Gross has been making eyewear in London since 1969. The Great Frog has been making jewellery for rock stars on Carnaby Street since 1972. When they finally collaborated, the result was exactly what it should be a frame that carries the weight of both.

The Capri is built from pure titanium, handmade in Japan, and finished with sterling silver hand-cast elements that bear The Great Frog's unmistakable signature: Baroque patterning, bones, and skull motifs worked into the metal with the same craft the jewellers have applied to rings and pendants for over fifty years. The silhouette draws from 1970s automobile design rectangular, deliberate, the kind of shape that was already cool before cool became a strategy.

Silver and Havana is the colorway that balances the frame's harder edges. The warmth of the tortoise acetate against the cool precision of silver titanium. Neither one drowning out the other.

Not decoration. Craftsmanship.

The sterling silver detailing on the Capri isn't surface treatment it's hand-cast, the same way The Great Frog makes every piece of jewellery it has ever sold. Pure titanium construction means the frame is extraordinarily light for its presence. Made in Japan, to the same standard Cutler and Gross has held since George Smith was cutting frames by hand above the Knightsbridge shop fifty-five years ago.

This is a limited collaboration between two brands that have never compromised on what they make.
