Thirty years in. This is what it looks like.
The Grand-Decade is DITA's 30th anniversary frame a direct evolution of the DECADE-TWO, one of the most recognized silhouettes the brand has ever produced. The classic aviator proportions are still there. Everything else has been pushed further. Sculpted titanium temples. A three-piece hinge plate engineered to a tolerance most brands don't attempt. Enamel inlays on the hardware. And the defining detail: a floating crown bridge with intricate wire mesh work a construction that has no business existing at this scale, and exists anyway because DITA's artisans in Japan spent months making it work.
Deep Purple Swirl acetate with a silver titanium bridge and a purple-to-clear gradient lens. A colorway that earns every gram
of what the frame costs.
Over 300 steps. Months of production. One frame.
Every DITA frame is built by hand in Japan, following a process that involves more than 300 individual steps. The Grand-Decade sits at the top of that process part of the Grand Series, where the construction is more complex, the materials more demanding, and the tolerance for anything less than perfect is zero.
This is what "limited quantity leads to unlimited quality" looks like when applied to a 30th anniversary piece.
