There are frames that cover the face and frames that frame it. The Sofia does neither — it occupies it. The silhouette is large and architecturally square, with softened corners that keep the geometry from becoming confrontational, and proportions that demand a certain confidence from the person wearing them. In Havana Scuro 09B, the acetate runs through a very dark tortoiseshell — deep enough to read almost black at a distance, revealing the amber and chocolate striations only in close light. The Green G15 lenses are the optician's choice: a neutral, slightly green-tinted glass that renders colours accurately while cutting glare, a lens standard trusted since the 1960s. Endorsed by Maria Sharapova. Handmade entirely in Italy, with an optical frame version also available.
