Algiers sits where the Mediterranean meets the Sahara — a city of contradictions held together by proximity and necessity. L.G.R's Algiers frame carries that duality in its silhouette: a round pantos shape with a flat upper edge that prevents it from reading as purely classical, giving it a tension between the organic and the deliberate. In Zambezi Forest 99, the acetate is a deep muted green — the colour of dense canopy, of rivers that don't reflect sky — and against this the orange photochromic lenses create a contrast that should be jarring but is instead precise. The orange tint at Base 2 is adaptive, clearing indoors to a warm amber cast and darkening in UV to a fuller tone, making this a frame that functions across different light environments.
