L.G.R's Gabon frame carries the proportional logic of the great aviator while adding the weight and presence of acetate, a material that handles the equatorial palette better than metal. The Havana Onice 96 is one of L.G.R's darkest tortoiseshell interpretations: an onyx-inflected acetate that moves between near-black and dark amber depending on the angle, with the depth and opacity of a frame that has no interest in being subtle. The vinaccio gradient photochromic lenses — a deep wine-burgundy that fades — are Base 4, the highest sun protection category: they darken fully in direct sunlight and ease back when the light does.
